Val: Regent University Short Film

Val is a short film that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, and is about a teenage girl who’s lived in the foster care system for her entire life, abandoned by everyone she’s ever known. After her rebellious acts have gone too far, she is assigned community service at a junk yard where she befriends a strange alien creature named Scrappy. Scrappy is building a device to help him get back to his planet and find his family. Val helps him in the process, and once the machine starts working, Scrappy shows her the memory of her parents who gave her up to a foster home as a baby. Val ends up finding herself through her firendship with Scrappy. V
